A Classic Pink Wedding at Savoy Place
Some weddings stay with you because the bride knows exactly what she wants — and this one, in the Maxwell Library at Savoy Place, was one of them. The room itself carries a quiet grandeur — floor-to-ceiling windows over the Thames, the character of a space that once housed a library — and it called for a design with the same sense of scale and formality. Bright, warm and endlessly involved in every design decision, she brought a clear vision to the table from our very first conversation, and pink was at the heart of it.

The florals were built entirely from premium blooms in soft pink tones — no filler, no secondary flowers, no greenery to pad the space. Every pedestal was filled purely with quality flowers, chosen for a colour that felt true to her open, vibrant personality, while her bouquet stayed intentionally compact — scaled close and neat to sit beautifully against her petite frame rather than overwhelm it. Her taste also leaned classic, so rather than let the pink feel playful or loose, we grounded the room in symmetry: tall, voluminous plinth pedestals gave the space a sense of structure and formality that matched both the bride and the grandeur of the room.

The rest of the styling stayed quiet and considered — chiffon ribbon detailing on the side chairs, and soft pink centrepieces on the bar stools to carry the colour story through without overdoing it. Nothing was placed without reason; every point of colour was exactly where it needed to be.

Thank you to a bride who shaped so much of this with us — your ideas made this wedding what it was. Savoy Place was, as always, a beautiful place to work, and pink has rarely looked so at home on anyone.
